GOLFING DRESS CODE
The Rockford Country Club (RCC) is a non-metal spike golf course. RCC’s Dress Code Policy prohibits all denim, tank tops, tee shirts, cut offs and gym shorts. Proper attire for men should be a shirt with collar and sleeves, slacks or mid-thigh shorts or longer. Women should wear traditional golf tops and slacks or shorts at mid-thigh or longer.
Rockford Country Club (RCC) – In accordance with USGA Rule 6-8, “Bad weather is not of itself a good reason for discontinuing play.” Dangerous weather may temporarily suspend play. However, total cancellation of Hops and Holes outing will only occur if RCC staff deems the course to be unplayable and unlikely to return to a playable status in a reasonable time to complete the entire outing. If cancellation of Hops and Holes outing occurs and less than 9 holes of golf have been completed, rain-check certificates equivalent to the amount of golf not played by each participant will be provided. Certificates must be used during the 2017 golf season and will be restricted to tee times Tuesday through Friday at the discretion of the RCC Golf Professional.
Forest City Queen Riverboat (FCQ) – Riverboat rides may still operate in light rain, however the FCQ captain and crew will keep an eye out for severe weather. Safety is the priority – if Rockford Park District staff deem weather conditions to be dangerous, rides will be cancelled for the day, and participants will need to provide their own transportation to RCC and PSB.
